Eye creams and masks

Late nights cause dark circles under the eyes, and while we wouldn’t trade the crow’s feet from countless laughs with friends for anything, it’s a good idea to start preventing their formation early on. This category also includes products for treating already visible issues. Vitamin C effectively brightens dark under-eye circles, and ginseng and retinol are excellent aids both for preventing and treating fine lines. The best under-eye patches, or eye area masks, provide intensive care for the delicate and thin skin around the eyes.

You need about a pinhead-sized amount of eye cream per eye. Gently pat the cream under the eye and on the brow bone; do not rub or apply cream to the moving eyelid.

Eye Creams and Masks

Eye cream is specifically designed and developed for the care of this delicate skin area. Eye creams not only nourish and moisturize but also, for example, brighten dark under-eye circles and treat signs of aging.

How does an eye mask differ from an eye cream?

Eye masks work like sheet masks for the face; patches containing nourishing liquid or serum are applied under the eyes and left on for about 5-20 minutes depending on the product. They provide effective extra care for the sensitive eye area to enhance the effects of daily eye cream or to give an additional boost for different skin concerns than the cream.

So-called eye patches, for example, brighten and hydrate effectively, and you can combine them with eye creams to achieve the desired result.

For example, you can use a brightening eye mask a few times a week and a suitable anti-aging eye cream daily.

Eye Cream for Dark Under-Eyes

Darkness around the eyes can be caused by several different factors. The skin around the eyes is naturally thinner than elsewhere on the face, and in some people, blood vessels show through the thin skin, making the area appear dark. Bone structure can also create shadows around the eyes, or the darkness may be due to pigmentation of the skin itself.

Excellent ingredients for treating dark under-eyes include vitamin C, caffeine, retinol, and hyaluronic acid.
